- If the document was issued in Florida or if was notarized by a Florida Notary Public, then the authority that will affix the Apostille is the Florida Secretary of State.
- If you need to apostille a Federal Document, then the authority that will affix the Apostille is the U.S. Secretary of State.
- If the country where you will be using the document is in the following list, then you will REQUIRE an apostille:
If the country of intended use is not in the above list, documents being sent to that country can be “authenticated” or “certified”, via Secretary of State, or pertinent Embassy or Consulate.
